Robert O. Jackson, President
Mr. Jackson serves as the President of Reliance Housing
Foundations Board of Directors.
As Reliances senior staff member, he is responsible
for planning and administering all programs and activities.
Mr. Jackson has over 24 years of experience in the
real estate industry. His experience includes real
estate brokerage, investment property acquisition,
finance and disposition, development, construction
and renovation, as well as condominium conversion.
Mr. Jacksons primary area of focus has been
in the multifamily segment of the industry. He has
developed particular expertise in affordable housing
for low and moderate income people.
Prior to founding Reliance, Mr. Jackson was a major
partner in a number of real estate ventures in the
Philadelphia area. During this period he developed
over 230 acres of mixed-use residential properties
for single and multifamily housing. He had formerly
served as VP, Acquisitions & Asset Management
for North Atlantic Investment Corporation. North Atlantic
was formed to acquire investment properties, mainly
multifamily properties, for the primary shareholders
family portfolio and for associates at a major investment
banking company. Mr. Jackson was responsible for the
acquisition, refinancing or sale of over $106,500,000
of investment properties for North Atlantic during
a 30 month period. Prior to that time, Mr. Jackson
served as President of the condominium division of
Marc Equity Corp. At Marc Equity he supervised the
acquisition, financing or condominium conversion of
over 1,300 apartments valued in excess of $120,000,000.
Mr. Jackson has also developed expertise in the formation,
operation and management of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
He has been involved with nonprofit entities as a
member, director and officer. Mr. Jackson has served
as a director and an officer of the AIDS Library of
Philadelphia and the AIDS Information Network.
Mr. Jackson, as the co-founder and President of Reliance
Housing Foundation®, has been able to successfully
draw from his real estate investment background and
his non-profit management experience to guide Reliance
in fulfillment of its mission to provide fit, safe
and affordable housing to low and moderate income
people.

Michael Capelle, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Capelle is one of the founding members of the
Board of Reliance and serves as Chief Financial
Officer. He has an extensive background in commercial
lending, financial information systems and human resource
management. Prior to his employment with Reliance,
Mr. Capelle was a principal owner of a high-tech consulting
firm.

Robert Morris, Vice-President, Acquisitions/Financing
Mr. Morris is responsible for all of Reliances
property acquisition efforts. He has many years of
experience in the acquisition of multifamily properties
throughout the U.S. Formerly, Mr. Morris served as
a Sr. VP and National Acquisitions Director for Raymond
James Realty Advisors and with Simpson Housing LP
upon their merger. Mr. Morris also worked with E.F.
Hutton as Southeast Regional VP, Acquistions and for
New York Life Insurance Company as a regional mortgage
loan officer. As Reliances Acquisition Director,
Mr. Morris locates suitable acquisition candidates,
negotiates their purchase, supervises due diligence
and coordinates closing of the acquisition. Mr. Morris is a graduate of Ohio State
University, with a B.S. degree, majoring in Real Estate.

Kathy Strom, Vice-President, Property Management
Kathy Strom joined Reliance Housing in 2005,
bringing over 10 years of property management
experience. Originally involved with conventional
multi-family markets, Ms. Strom has managed the
successful redevelopment and repositioning of over 5,000
units. Previous positions included acting as a
Regional Manager with AIMCO and Vice President of
Development with Bayshore Management Company. Ms.
Strom’s management vision has led to over $100 million
in sales of previously underperforming multi-family
projects. Originally from Connecticut, Ms. Strom
has returned to South Florida to take on the role of
Vice President of Property Management. In this
role, Ms. Strom will insure the preservation of
Reliance’s real estate assets as attractive safe and
cost effective affordable housing.

Sandra Martin Seals, Vice President, Community Development
In her capacity as Vice President for Community
Development, Ms. Seals is responsible for forging
relationships with local and State governmental entities
to encourage development and financing opportunities for
affordable housing. Ms. Seals has substantial
housing development expertise in the public and private
sectors combined with a strong and diverse background in
mixed-income housing development and finance. With
her past experience as a Deputy Director for the City of
Boston, Department of Neighborhood Development and a
Program Officer for Local Initiatives Support
Corporation in Boston, Ms. Seals provides strong support
to Reliance’s community development and finance
practice. Ms. Seals received her Master’s Degree
in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT) and Bachelor’s Degree in Political
Science from the University of Massachusetts/Boston.

Mary Tucker, Compliance Manager
Ms. Tucker hails from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where
she received her formal education. She moved to
Florida in 1989 after living in Germany for 3 years
with her family. Her world travels and cultural
experiences throughout her life have been 'key'
element in her perfecting her communication and
professional skills. Mary's commitment to the property
management industry has exceeded 16 years. She first
became a part of Reliance's professional team in March
2002 as a staff trainer, quickly advanced to a property
manager, and then to a regional property manager.
Ms. Tucker continues to prove herself a valuable asset
to Reliance and currently holds the position of
Compliance Manager. |
